GHOST TOURS

The sun disappears. The full moon arrives. The sea is calm. Tide high. The beach bonfire is on its last licks, as it the second bottle of Pinot. “Hey, wanna go hunt for the Pantai Hantu…the Beach Ghost?” And the adventure begins. Torches? Check. Sandals? Check. Courage? On full moon high tide nights, we go ghost hunting. Sometimes, it’s a beach walk of about 20 minutes to a long beach that is frequently visited by a female ghost, whispering in the ears of those brave enough to venture off the sand and into one of the two abandon houses in the jungle. Other nights, when the moon is really beaming, it’s a 15 minute boat ride to an abandon beach resort, complete with a hidden dungeon. Brave the various abandon huts and statues with eyes big and round and watching, enter the deep vertical staircase falling straight down to a wet cement dungeon, and you may feel the spirits closing in on you.
